An important William and Mary longcase clock veneered with walnut and bird and floral marquetry of exceptional quality. The month duration movement includes quarter repeating mechanism with the hours struck on a large bell and the quarters on a nest of four bells. The subsidiary dials set within the upper spandrels are for strike/silent and rise and fall regulation.
